Ellen M. Boyle,
Ellen M. Boyle is an experienced attorney in Chubb's New Jersey House Counsel firm, Kirmser, Lamastra, Cunningham & Skinner. She represents management in employment litigation, with particular emphasis on the defense of employment discrimination, wrongful termination and whistle blower suits. Ms. Boyle has also provided counseling to employers on employment matters such as workforce reductions, family leave laws, employment handbooks and policies, reasonable accommodations for disabilities and providing training to prevent workplace harassment. Ms. Boyle also has experience in commercial litigation including defense of claims under the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act, the Telephone Consumer Protection Act and the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Ms. Boyle is a member of the New Jersey and New York Bars and is admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Districts of New Jersey and the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York. She regularly appears before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the New Jersey Division on Civil Rights, various agencies and a variety of state and federal trial and appellate courts. Ms. Boyle is a member of the New Jersey Bar Association.
Ms. Boyle received her undergraduate degree from the State University of New York at Oneonta (B.A., cum laude, 1984), and earned her Juris Doctor from Fordham Law School (J.D., 1987). Ms. Boyle was formerly an associate with Cadwalder Wickersham & Taft, in New York City, Pitney Hardin Kipp & Szuch in Morristown, New Jersey and with the management labor and employment law firm Epstein Becker & Green in its Newark, New Jersey office.
