Melissa K. Atkins,

Melissa K. Atkins is an employment attorney in the Pennsylvania House Counsel firm of Bunker & Ray, where she is responsible for defending employment matters filed against Chubb's insureds.  After law school, Melissa worked for Stradley, Ronon, Stevens and Young in the Business Department, where she assisted in developing and executing global loss mitigation strategy for multibillion-dollar portfolio of residential mortgage-backed securities.  After leaving Stradley, Melissa worked for the City of Philadelphia Law Department in the Labor and Employment Unit and the Mental Health and Adult Services Unit as a Deputy City Solicitor.  As a City Solicitor, Melissa defended the City and its department in federal and state courts in discrimination lawsuits under Title VII, and other pertinent federal and state statutes and local ordinances, such as the American with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act and the Fair Practices Ordinances.  Melissa also provided advice and counseling to various City departments on the many employment issues affecting the City's large and diverse workforce.
