We take our responsibilities seriously. With operations in 54 countries and territories, Chubb has a robust global citizenship programme dedicated to driving positive change and making a long-term impact in our communities across the world.
Chubb is committed to the advancement and preservation of the rule of law.
Through the Fund, Chubb supports organizations and activities that promote conditions conducive to the rule of law. This includes the development of free and fair legal systems and public institutions.
Since its foundation in 2009, the Fund has pledged over US$1,320,000 in grants, across over 50 countries and is a truly global commitment. In Asia, recent grants in 2019 include developing administrative law guidance for the judiciary in Vietnam and strengthening legislative drafting in Pakistan.
The purpose of Chubb’s Rule of Law Fund is to advance the rule of law worldwide by supporting projects that build and strengthen legal institutions.
In Myanmar we support the Supreme Court of the Union of Myanmar’s Judicial Strategic Plan, which is focused on driving professionalism, accountability and credibility of the Judiciary. We have also made a commitment to partner with the Max Planck Foundation for International Peace and the Rule of Law to strengthen the professional skills of the Judiciary, as well as other court personnel.
The Max Planck Foundation provides assistance to the reconstruction or restructuring of the internal organisation to States which have experienced radical change in relation to their constitutional law.
