Jim Paugh is the General Counsel for Chubb Bermuda. Mr. Paugh oversees the company’s legal matters and the execution of the compliance functions. His duties also include providing legal and strategic advice to senior executives and underwriters regarding Chubb Bermuda’s industry-leading property, excess casualty, and financial lines coverages; ensuring compliance with applicable rules and regulations; and providing advice on risk management issues.
Mr. Paugh joined Chubb Bermuda in 2011 as Assistant Vice President of Claims. In 2014, he was appointed Managing Counsel and Head of Claims for Chubb Bermuda International, and 2017 he was appointed Deputy General Counsel for Chubb Bermuda.
Before joining Chubb, Mr. Paugh was in private practice in New York. He holds a Juris Doctor degree from the George Washington University Law School in Washington, D.C., and a Bachelor of Science degree from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. He is admitted as an attorney by the Supreme Court of New York.
