Stephen French, Chief Underwriting Officer and Senior Vice President, Chubb Bermuda International
Stephen French is the Senior Vice President and Chief Underwriting Officer for Chubb Bermuda International (CBI). He is responsible for the overall direction, leadership, and management of the London and Dublin operations.
Mr. French has over 35 years of insurance underwriting experience, and oversight for the management and direction of the Property, Excess Liability, Professional Lines and the Political Risk underwriting personnel. He also has accountability for the Chubb Bermuda International Trading Divisions' income stream, profitability, reinsurance purchasing, portfolio management, marketing and distribution strategies, compliance, and governance.
Before joining ACE in 1995, Mr. French (proudly known as employee Number 80), held various management positions at Gerling, AIG, and Chubb. He has been a contributor to A. M. Best’s, Property & Casualty Quarterly Review and is a regular speaker at global insurance industry conferences.
