How To Handle A Traffic Accident
In Malaysia, no matter how careful you are on the road, there’s always someone else who is driving recklessly and speeding like there’s no tomorrow. Although  many are aware of the increasing number of accidents recorded in the country, but not many would know exactly what to do if they are involved in an accident.

So, here are some tips for you on what to do after a traffic accident.

1. Immediate medical examination
  • Make sure that everyone is okay and there is no medical emergency.

2. Take photos of the accident site
  • Take as many photos of the accident site as possible before the vehicles get towed.

3. Exchange information
  • Gather the details of the other party involved, such as name, phone number, driving license number, car registration number & insurance policy number.

  • Call and check with your insurer whether there are additional details to capture and what are the next steps to take.

5. Lodge a police report
  • File a report within 24 hours.

6. Avoid unknown tow trucks
  • Wait for your insurance company’s tow truck service. DO NOT allow random tow truck operators to tow your vehicle.

7. Send the car to the workshop
  • Direct the tow truck to your preferred workshop or your insurance company’s designated workshop.
