Chubb Charitable Foundation – Bermuda has played a significant role as a major philanthropic force in Bermuda.

The Chubb Charitable Foundation – Bermuda has contributed more than $20 million to local charitable causes, and supported students through the Robert Clements Scholarship, Bermuda College Education Award and the now closed Madeline Joell Nest Egg Fund. In addition, the Foundation supports Chubb employees' community interests with volunteer and matching gift programmes. The Foundation's key initiatives include:

Charitable Grants

The core of the Foundation’s work is the ongoing support of Bermuda-based charities. The Foundation provides financial support to up to 75 registered charitable organizations per year, covering a wide range of needs. Download an application for a charitable grant.

Trustee Meetings

The Trustees of the Chubb Charitable Foundation - Bermuda meet quarterly. Applications for consideration must be received at least two weeks prior to a meeting.

Education

The Foundation - Bermuda makes a significant investment in youth development. Its current educational initiatives are:

  • Robert Clements Scholarship - The Robert Clements Scholarship provides financial support to Bermudian students pursuing careers in the insurance industry. Learn more.
  • Bermuda College Education Award - The Bermuda College Education Award of $15,000 is offered annually to a qualified graduate of Bermuda College to cover tuition and fees for up to two years immediately following Bermuda College graduation. Learn more.

  • Focusing its charitable giving on clearly defined projects and programs with measurable objectives and outcomes that address the areas of education, the environment, and human services and help to enhance the vibrancy of the community.
  • Providing Chubb employees with volunteer and philanthropic opportunities where they can contribute their time and expertise as well as financial support to the community.
