With effect from 31 January 2021, 11.59pm, visitors applying to enter Singapore under the Air Travel Pass (ATP) and Reciprocal Green Lanes (RGLs) will need to have travel insurance for their COVID-19-related medical treatment and hospitalisation costs in Singapore, with a minimum coverage of S$30,0001

SG Travel Insured is an inbound travel insurance, with COVID-19 cover, specially designed for short-term visitors to Singapore. 

Yes, with effect from 31 January 2021, 11.59pm (Singapore time), visitors applying to enter Singapore under the Air Travel Pass (ATP) and Reciprocal Green Lanes (RGLs) will need to have travel insurance for their COVID-19-related medical treatment and hospitalisation costs in Singapore, with a minimum coverage of S$30,0001. 

This requirement will apply to short-term visitors who are entering Singapore under the ATP and RGLs only. It will not apply to returning Singapore Citizens/Permanent Residents (SCs/PRs), as they are able to tap on regular healthcare financing arrangements for their inpatient medical bills should they develop the onset of COVID-19 symptoms within 14 days of their return.

Yes, the mandatory insurance coverage is S$30,000 for COVID-19 related medical treatment and hospitalisation costs in Singapore and SG Travel Insured provides up to S$250,000 coverage for COVID-19 related costs.

SG Travel Insured is available to short-term visitors travelling from all countries and territories^ (except Sanction countries*).

^ Please note that this is subject to change, depending on the developments of the COVID-19 situation.
* Sanction countries refer to: Iran, Syria, Cuba, North Korea, North Sudan, Crimea and Venezuela.

No, this policy does not cover Singapore Residents and training work permit workers falls under this category.

Singapore Resident means Singapore citizen, Singapore permanent resident, a holder of a valid work permit (training work permit included), employment pass, dependant’s pass, long-term visit pass, S pass or student pass issued by the authorities in Singapore.
