Chubb is committed to encouraging employee groups such as the Business Roundtables (BRTs). These employee-led, Chubb-supported groups share commonalities of background and experiences and reinforce voice equality by harnessing the power of diversity through circles of influence, support and development.
Chubb Pride is one of the employee groups (“business roundtable”) that is open to all employees and focuses primarily on support for an individual’s ability to self-identify as to their sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression in the workplace. Through education, advocacy and the vital support of our allies, we continually monitor and influence our company culture and policies to ensure that we best engage the talents and contributions of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, intersex and asexual (LGBTQ+) employees.
The mission of Chubb Pride is to maximize our development, engagement, advancement and business contributions with the goal of visible Pride representation throughout the organization. Specifically Pride will positively influence our culture and policies regarding issues and advocacy by collaborating with our business units to build a greater presence within the marketplace. Pride and all employee membership is critical to achieving this mission.

Equality is inherent to our mission at Chubb, and it starts in our workplace with our team. In 2022, we were named one of the “Best Places to Work for LGBTQ+ Equality” by the Human Rights Campaign—and have consistently received a 100% score every year we have participated since 2004.

We understand that people sometimes feel uncomfortable being themselves at work, to the extent that they conceal particular aspects of their identity.
This affects not only their well-being, both mentally and physically, but also their ability to be productive at work. That’s why, at Chubb, we have Chubb Allies and Regional Connectors.
What is an Ally?
Allies are visible by displaying an Ally sticker, joining Pride activities, attending Diversity, Equity & Inclusion events, adding the Ally logo to their email signature, communicating with others and putting Diversity, Equity & Inclusion on the agenda at team meetings.
Allies challenge behavior which could belittle and/or intimidate others in relation to their sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression while always assuming positive intent.
Allies use inclusive language that does not assume that everyone identifies as heterosexual or cisgender.
Chubb Regional Connectors
At Chubb, employees called “Regional Connectors” have volunteered to work with Chubb Pride and take an active role in promoting the visibility of Pride and its mission. These “connectors” are spread throughout the Chubb North American Regional/Branch network, and are responsible for developing and fostering events that bring Pride members and allies together at the local level.
Engaging our Allies and Connectors at Chubb, we strive to provide an environment where every employee can be their true selves and maximize their potential regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression.
Chubb has been a multi-year corporate sponsor of the HRC National Dinner, the organization’s largest fundraiser supporting efforts to advance LGBTQ+ civil rights.

Each year, a team of Chubb Pride Business Roundtable Leads, Regional Connectors, and Members, Managers, as well as HR Representatives and Individual Contributors join over 5,000 individuals at the largest LGBTQ+ focused conference in the World – the Out & Equal Workplace Summit. This week-long event is attended by ERG/BRT Leads, Executives, HR Representatives, and D&I Professionals and Experts from many of the top Global corporations, and allows attendees to Network, attend Workshops/plenaries/panel discussions, and learn Best Practices to help create inclusive workplaces, regardless of sexual orientation, gender identities, and gender expressions.
Chubb accepts a Community Leadership Award from the Brooklyn Community Pride Center. On June 14, 2018, Chubb was honored with a Community Leadership Award from the Brooklyn Community Pride Center for its history of workplace LGBTQ+ advocacy; its long-term efforts supporting the rights of LGBTQ+ New Yorkers; and for its steadfast support of the Brooklyn Community Pride Center over the last five years.
